The European Video Awards (‘the EVAs’) will recognise the industry’s innovators in video and CTV advertising. 

Organised by VideoWeek, Europe’s leading publication for video and CTV advertising, the categories will celebrate the individuals, teams and companies who help make the industry such a vibrant one to be a part of. 

The ceremony will take place on July 12th at York Lawns in London’s iconic Regent’s Park, which will be followed by the VideoWeek Garden Party, a summer social event that everyone – not just awards entrants – will be able to attend.

Description

CTV has enhanced the effectiveness, targeting capabilities and interactivity of TV advertising. This award will recognise the companies getting the best out of this new medium whilst delivering meaningful business impact.

Criteria

Judges will assess how the campaign delivered results against it’s set objectives.

Description

Interactivity has helped boost the performance of online video creative and this award will celebrate those who have put in the extra yards to make creative more interesting and engaging for consumers, whilst delivering business results for advertisers.

Criteria

Judges will assess how the campaign delivered a unique customer experience whilst also delivering higher engagement, factoring in the objectives and how the campaign delivered to them. A link to the creative or an upload of the creative will be required for assessment.

Description

The small screens in our pockets have become one of the most valuable for video advertisers. This category will celebrate those who have been getting the best out of mobile video to deliver outstanding results.

Description

Connecting with audiences via video on social media platforms is something worth celebrating in its own right. This award will recognise those using video to achieve real cut-through on social media platforms. 

Criteria 

Judges will assess the objectives, execution and the campaign results. Entrants should also highlight any incremental social uplift in terms of shares, comments and likes.

Description

The ability to deliver excellent results with video across multiple media channels and platforms has become one of the most challenging aspects of video advertising today. This category will reward those who are delivering excellence for advertisers. 

Criteria

Judges will assess the objectives, execution and the campaign results. The campaign should have run across TV/CTV, desktop and mobile.

Agencies, brands, ad tech companies, ad networks, sales houses, publishers, broadcasters, pay TV operators.

 

Description

When executed correctly, video content marketing can give any brand a major marketing boost. In campaigns where many influencers were used, a maximum of three influencers’ videos should be submitted for each campaign. 

Criteria

Judges will assess the objectives, execution and the campaign results, combined with the quality of the branded content created.

Description

The use of data has become one of a key differentiator when it comes to achieving results . This award will recognise those who use data for superior campaign targeting and insights for video (encompasses CTV campaigns).

Criteria

Judges will assess the objectives, execution and the campaign results, combined with how user privacy was respected through all parts of the process.

INDIVIDUAL

Description

 The Leadership in Video Award will recognise an individual who has made an outstanding contribution in video advertising over the past year.

Criteria

Judges will be looking for evidence of how nominees have demonstrated leadership in the industry over the past year. This could be through innovation in tech or creativity, pushed forward solutions to solve key challenges, or by being a voice for change on the issues that really matter.

 Agencies, brands, ad tech companies/ad networks, sales houses, publishers, broadcasters, and pay TV operators.

 

Description

 This award will recognise the next generation of industry leaders – those who are making waves and driving change while still earlier on in their careers.

Criteria

Judges will look for examples of how entrants have demonstrated originality, creativity, and overall excellence in their roles. Judges will also consider evidence of how nominees have taken steps to influence the wider industry outside of their own company.

 Following a year in which the advertising market rebounded strongly after the worst of the pandemic, this award will recognise the commercial leaders who have driven growth to help ensure their businesses have thrived during the recovery.

Criteria

 Judges will be looking for evidence of how the nominee’s leadership led to commercial success for their companies. Entrants should provide examples of specific actions taken, decisions made, or initiatives driven which produced strong results for their business.

The industry’s innovators are the people who push the industry forward and make video & CTV advertising such a vibrant and exciting place to be. This reward will celebrate the industry’s most imaginative minds.

Judges will be looking for evidence of how the person drove innovation for their company and the wider industry. Entrants should provide examples of specific actions taken, decisions made, technologies built or initiatives driven which produced strong results for their business and/or the wider industry.

TEAM

Description

This award recognises excellence in agency video/CTV/TV/AV teams. The team should be able to demonstrate exceptional teamwork in working to deliver superior client outcomes.

Criteria

This award recognises a team effort, entrants should demonstrate excellence across their team members, both individually and how they work together. Entries should demonstrate client satisfaction, ideally through testimonials. Evidence of collaboration with the wider organisation should also be provided.

 

Description 

This award is for any company who goes above and beyond for their customers. An award that celebrates teams who have excellent communication with their clients, and who have secured demonstrable wins for them. 

Who can enter

Agencies, brands, ad tech companies/ad networks, sales houses, publishers, broadcasters, pay TV operators.

Criteria

This award hinges on responsive and innovative aways to deliver outstanding customer experience, and should include testimony from clients. Entrants should demonstrate how their team feeds into the wider organisation. Teams should also show evidence of continued collaborative effort, rather than one outstanding individual.

Description

This category will celebrate the true innovators who are enhancing CTV apps for the consumer. The innovation will be something that solves a problem within an App or brings unique value to the end user.

Publishers, broadcasters, pay TV operators.

Criteria

Entrants should lay out what the objective of their initiative was, and provide demonstrable evidence of how they achieved this.

 

Description

This award recognises an ad tech innovation that has helped solve a problem or delivered unique value in CTV advertising, helping campaign performance, privacy and/or user experience.

Who can enter 

Agencies, brands, ad tech companies, ad networks, sales houses, publishers, broadcasters, pay TV operators.

Criteria

Entries in the innovation category should provide evidence that their innovation is unique and delivered significant benefit. Entrants should outline what their objectives in developing the innovation were and how these were achieved. 

 

Description

This category will celebrate a video ad tech innovation that helped push the market forward, enhanced campaign performance, user experience or user privacy.

Who can enter

Agencies, brands, ad tech companies/ad networks, sales houses, publishers, broadcasters, pay TV operators.

Criteria

Entries should outline the goals of their innovation and be able to demonstrate that their video ad tech innovation effectively delivered on campaign performance, user experience or user privacy.

 

COMPANY AWARDS

Description

 This category is for agencies which have been most effective in using video to help their brand clients reach their goals.

Criteria

Judges will be looking for evidence of how entrants have outperformed their peers in using video on any and all screens. Entrants should provide examples of specific video campaigns alongside the client brief, and demonstrate originality and effectiveness in using video to meet the client’s goals.

Description

Branded content continues to be an effective way for brands to connect with consumers through content that audiences actively want to watch. This award will recognise agencies which excel at placing brands at the heart of great video content.

Criteria

Judges will look for evidence of particularly effective branded video content campaigns, which were effective in helping clients reach their goals and also resonated with audiences. Judges will also consider distribution and promotion strategy for the campaign.
