Categories

Eligibility

Open to all brands, agencies, publishers, and technology providers. International entries from companies operating in Europe are welcome. All entries must be related to activities that took place since May 2023. Entrants may submit as many campaigns as they wish, and campaigns can be entered in more than one . Companies can submit on behalf of others (e.g. their client) with the participant’s permission. For example, a vendor could submit for a campaign their client ran using their technology. If successful, entrants must be able to collect their award in person in London on 26th September 2024. In order to submit your entry, you will need the following:
 
  • Primary entry contact.
  • For agencies and suppliers, you’ll need a client contact for entry verification.
  • Brand logo as vector file.
  • Start and end dates of campaign/project.
  • Visuals: Videos are optional (but judges love them.)
  • Full summary of campaign’s goals and any available results. (if applicable)
  • If your entry wins a European Video Award, you must have a representative at the ceremony in London on 26 September 2024.

Campaigns

Description
CTV has enhanced the effectiveness, targeting capabilities and interactivity of TV advertising. This award will recognise the companies getting the best out of this new medium whilst delivering meaningful business impact.

 

Criteria

Judges will assess how the campaign delivered results against it’s set objectives.

Description
Succeeding on social media platforms is often a skill in its own right, particularly when users are given the chance to engage with content/creative. This award will recognise those using video to achieve real cut-through on social media platforms.

Criteria

Judges will assess the objectives, execution and the campaign results. Entrants should also highlight any incremental social uplift in terms of shares, comments and likes.

Description
The ability to deliver excellent results with video across multiple media channels and platforms has become one of the most challenging aspects of video advertising today. This category will reward those who are delivering excellence for advertisers.

 

Criteria

Judges will assess the objectives, execution and the campaign results. The campaign should have run across TV/CTV, desktop and mobile, whilst other channels can also be mentioned if applicable.

Description
The use of data plays an ever-growing role in delivering successful video & CTV advertising campaigns campaigns. This award will recognise those who use data for superior campaign targeting and insights in a video and/or CTV advertising campaign.

 

Criteria

Judges will assess the objectives, execution and the campaign results, combined with how user privacy was respected through all parts of the process.

Description
This category will focus on the video campaigns that delivered the most impact for the advertiser. Delivering the on the client’s KPIs will be the key differentiator.

Judges will assess the objectives, execution and the campaign results. All types of KPIs are welcome and the most important thing is that it delivered desired outcomes for the client.

Description
Developments in data-driven advertising have enabled video & CTV advertising to be taken to new heights. This category will celebrate the camapigns that delivered commercial outcomes for the client.

 

Criteria

Judges will assess the objectives, execution and the campaign results. for the client.The results should focus on attributed sales for the client.

Description
Commerce media is one of the most exciting emerging areas to emerge. For the purposes of this category, retail media is defined as ads served on a retailer’s own website/app, whilst commerce media is defined as the use of retailer data to run ads across third party properties. The campaigns should use either video or CTV advertising, and can use retail media, commerce media, or a combination of both.

Criteria

Judges will assess the objectives, execution and the campaign results for the client. The use of retailer data, measurement and the attribution of the campaign to outcomes will be assessed.

Description

Out of home video and TV has been one of the most innovative industry sectors in recent years and this category will celebrate the campaigns that delivered real impact in outdoor environments.

Criteria

Judges will evaluate the relevancy of the locations to the brand and to consumers, creative quality and results achieved.

Description

This category is open to the use of AI in both media and in advertising campaigns and is deliberately open-ended to reward true excellence in applying AI. AI may have been applied in campaign/data optimisation, creative, or media production.

Criteria

Judges will be looking for imaginative applications and evaluating how they contributed to efficiency, creativity and effectiveness.

Individual

Description
The Leadership in Video Award will recognise an individual who has made an outstanding contribution in video advertising over the past year.

Criteria

Judges will be looking for evidence of how nominees have demonstrated leadership in the industry over the past year. This could be through innovation in tech or creativity, through push forward solutions which solve key challenges, or through being a voice for change on the issues that really matter.

Description

This award will recognise the next generation of industry leaders – those who are making waves and driving change while still earlier on in their careers.

 

Criteria

Judges will look for examples of how entrants have demonstrated originality, creativity, and overall excellence in their roles. Judges will also consider evidence of how nominees have taken steps to influence the wider industry outside of their own company.

Description
Following a year in which the advertising market rebounded strongly after the worst of the pandemic, this award will recognise the commercial leaders who have driven growth to help ensure their businesses have thrived during the recovery.

Criteria

Judges will be looking for evidence of how the nominee’s leadership led to commercial success for their companies. Entrants should provide examples of specific actions taken, decisions made, or initiatives driven which produced strong results for their business.

Team

Description
This award recognises excellence in agency video/CTV/TV/AV teams. The team should be able to demonstrate exceptional teamwork in working to deliver superior client outcomes.

Criteria

This award recognises a team effort, entrants should demonstrate excellence across their team members, both individually and how they work together. Entries should demonstrate client satisfaction, ideally through testimonials. Evidence of collaboration with the wider organisation should also be provided.

This award is for any company who goes above and beyond for their customers. An award that celebrates teams who have excellent communication with their clients, and who have secured demonstrable wins for them.

Criteria

This award hinges on responsive and innovative aways to deliver outstanding customer experience, and should include testimony from clients. Entrants should demonstrate how their team feeds into the wider organisation. Teams should also show evidence of continued collaborative effort, rather than one outstanding individual.

Technology

Description
This category will celebrate the true innovators who are enhancing CTV apps for the consumer. The innovation will be something that solves a problem within an App or brings unique value to the end user.

 

Criteria

Entrants should lay out what the objective of their initiative was, and provide demonstrable evidence of how they achieved this.

Description
This award recognises an ad tech innovation that has helped solve a problem or delivered unique value in CTV advertising, helping campaign performance, privacy and/or user experience.

 

Criteria

Entries in the innovation category should provide evidence that their innovation is unique and delivered significant benefit. Entrants should outline what their objectives in developing the innovation were and how these were achieved.

Description
This category will celebrate a video ad tech innovation that helped push the market forward, enhanced campaign performance, user experience or user privacy.

 

Criteria

Entries should outline the goals of their innovation and be able to demonstrate that their video ad tech innovation effectively delivered on campaign performance, user experience or user privacy.

Description
Measurement has been an industry hotbed of innovation over the last few years and this category will be open-minded when it comes to the methodologies, technologies and KPIs used.

 

Criteria

Entrants should highlight how their solution delivers value for buyers and/or sellers, enhancing how they can measure the impact of creatives and campaigns. Judges will also take privacy compliance into account.

Judges will take into account how the solution delivers impact for the client, whether it’s in terms of campaign impact, ease of use and privacy compliance.

Description
Enabling content to stream consistently and to keep the user engaged continues to be an industry challenge when reaching consumers across multiple devices, connection points and media enviornments. This category will celebrate those who deliver an outstanding media experience.

 

Criteria

Judges will take into account the features offered to the consumer, evidence of consistency in delivering a quality user experience, and technological innovation.

Description
This category is open to all forms of ad technology aimed at enhancing effectiveness and efficiency for advertisers.

 

Criteria

Judges will assess the extent to which the technology delivers impact for adverisers. This category is deliberately wide ranging to allow for the most innovative and interesting technology companies to enter.

Description
This category is open to all forms of ad technology aimed at boosting revenue generation for publishers/broadcasters/platforms, and in helping them to meet the objectives of their advertiser and agency clients.

Judges will assess the extent to which the technology delivers impact for publishers/broadcasters/platforms. This category is deliberately wide ranging to allow for the most innovative and interesting technology companies to enter.

The ad server is the bedrock of ad delivery and its role in video advertising is not to be underestimated. This category will celebrate the ad servers leading the way.

Judges will assess technology features and innovation, as well as examples of how the technology has provided outstanding campaign delivery for clients.

Description
CTV are inevitably held up to the flawless standards established by linear TV advertising and ads must be seamless, manage clashes and regulatory considerations, as well as ad podding. This category will celebrate the technologies that make it happen.

Judges will assess technology features and innovation, as well as examples of how the technology has provided outstanding campaign delivery for clients.

Description
Sustainability is quickly becoming integrated into media trading as the industry moves to reducing carbon and to make the industry deliver more for people and planet.

Criteria

Judges will think of ‘solutions’ in a broad sense and the main considerations will be innovation and impact. A solution could be an in-house or a joint industry initiative, a technology that is changing the way the industry does business, or anything else that helps nudge the industry towards being more sustainability.
